Seek first the Kingdom

God has put something on my heart for the past couple of weeks, so I wanted to share it with all of you guys. A verse from Matthew 6:33 has been marinating in my spirit, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” As I was reading in 1 Kings 6 and 7 this scripture took on a deeper meaning.

You Were Made for This

You Were Made For This .png

Four years ago, I did one of the hardest things I have ever done. I went on a mission trip to the Amazon Rainforest for the purpose of building churches in remote villages. During this trip I did hard labor from sunrise to sunset, I was extremely sick, contracted worms, and got an acid burn from a bombardier beetle. If you’ve read the blog you can probably tell I am not the construction type of gal and you’re probably thinking where is she going with this? Here is where.

Our Daily Bread

Daily Bread Devo- Pure Radiant Beauty Give us today our daily bread. {Matthew 6:11

Screen Shot 2016-05-09 at 3.38.20 PM
Do you ever feel like God isn’t listening to your prayers? Or maybe, do you believe he is listening but he just doesn’t want to answer you? Unanswered prayers can be discouraging and even debilitating to our faith, but take heart you are not unheard. Whenever I hear reasons why prayer goes unanswered they always seems to be centered around the person who is praying: maybe they are living in sin, or maybe they are not praying according to God’s will. While these may be true, sometimes it has nothing to do with you at all.
